OUR STALLION - CLAIM TO FAME

NEWS FLASH - CLAIM TO FAME WON HIS STALLION BREEDING APPROVAL WITH FULL LICENSING AND APPROVAL FOR STALLION BOOK I WITH THE RHEINLAND PFALZ-SAAR INTERNATIONAL! HE SCORED A 9 FOR TYPE! THEN IN NOVEMBER, HE WON BREEDING APPROVAL WITH THE AMERICAN WARMBLOOD REGISTRY AND THEIR COMMENT WAS "WONDERFUL ATTITUDE. TAKES CARE OF HIS RIDER".

Claim to Fame has been featured in many publications, but we were especially thrilled for him to be the featured story and on the cover of the official Pinto Horse Magazine for their World ShowEdition Click here to see this great article!

We werehonored with the cover shot and a wonderful article in Sidelines Magazine , the premier national equestrian competition and lifestyle magazine published in (Wellington) Palm Beach- for their 12/05 Stallion Issue. Click here to view it.

Claim to Fame is a 1998 Pinto Oldenburg Stallion standing 16.1 1/2 hands. His sire is the Oldenburg stallion, Hall of Fame, and his dam is Akula, a lovely TB mare out of the Tom Fool/ Buckpasser/Buckfinder line.( Akula was judged a premium mare by RPSI at the age of 15 after six foals, quite a testament for this lovely TB mare!) Tom Fool and Buckpasser were "Horse of the Year" TB's and Buckfinder was recently featured as a top eventing sire!

Claim to Fame's perfect conformation has won him the honor of being the ONLY (TOBIANO) PINTO HORSE TO EVER WIN AT THE DEVON HUNTER BREEDING SHOW. He was "Best Colt" in 2000 and won many other shows in the East that year.

In 2003 he began his under saddle show career with top hunter rider, Scott Hofstetter. They won many Championships in Jacksonville and HITS/OCALA. The last show at HITS they won all four over fences classes in divisions of 100+!

Claim to Fame went on to win Champinships in 2004 at HITS/Ocala, Circuit Champion of Pre-Green at the RMI Spring Series at HITS/Ocala, Reserve Champion at Culpeper/HITS, and Grand Hunter Reserve Champion in Warrenton where he won the Special Conformation Hunter Division hands down!

Former US Amateur National Champion, Jane Gaston, invited Claim to Fame to come to Middleburg, Va to stay at Salalmander Farm and train with her in the summer of 2004. Bill Moroney, President of the US Hunter Jumper Association is the lead trainer there and we loved having the opportunity to train with him as well. We're proud to be the only horse to have had that honor that summer!

He competed very successfully in Green Conformation Hunters in the 3'6" division. He reaffirmed his conformation credentials by winning the Model in the combined divisions of Conformation Hunters back to back!! He also competes with me in the Older Adult Amateurs. We won the Championship, the Classic and all o/f rounds in our first Jacksonville show of 2006!!We did it again in the Gulfport Series! He has only been held back by my riding ability (I've NEVER jumped a 3'6" course!) but everyone praises him for how he "takes care of me!"

His first foals born in 2003 have won him the coveted title of "Best Get of Sire" at the prestigeous 2004 Upperville Colt and Horse Show. They also held three of the "Top Five" Places for yearlings at the East Coast International Hunter Futurity as well as two of the "Top Five" in the Sallie Wheeler National Hunter Breeding Championship. In 2006 his first foal presented to the RPSI was given the "GOLD PREMIUM" award and was the champion of the inspection!

Although his striking good looks and perfect conformation turn heads everywhere he goes, his best asset is his great temperament. He has spent most of his life living at Flying Colors Farm where he is cared for, ridden by, and competed in Amateur Classes by his "51 and Older" amateur owner.

The photo of him free jumping was practicing for his RPSI Inspection. Note the jump standards are over five feet tall, the fence is four feet, and the orange tape is five and a half feet high! This guy can jump!!

We feel he has more than proven his credentials as a hunter in conformation, professional and amateur divisions. This year he is working in Dressage and I have also been schooling cross country! I look forward to competing him in some events and dressage to prove he's NOT ONLY a hunter stallion.....he can do it all!!

His stud fee for 2009 is $1000 plus a $350 booking fee, which includes the first collection. Frozen semen is also available!! PREMIUM AND MULTIPLE MARE DISCOUNTS ARE AVAILABLE. CHECK OUR NEWS PAGE FOR OTHER SPECIALS THAT MAY BE OFFERED.

COUNTERCLAIM

Counterclaim is a 2003 Black Homozygous Tobiano Pinto Stallion by Claim to Fame who should mature to 16.2. He is the only three fourths Thoroughbred Homozygous Stallion we know of. His dam, Moonlight Jewell, was an exceptional blue black pinto mare we bought from Terry Brown, Showcase LTD. Terry discribed her as "the best moving Paint mare in the Country!!

Counterclaim is LINEBRED on BOTH SIDES to three HORSE OF THE YEAR TB's. His blood includes the sporthorse champions of Buckpasser, Tom Fool, Native Dancer, and also includes some top old TB blood of Nearco, Nasrullah, Torbillion, War Admiral, ManO'War, Teddy, Bull Dog,Menow, and Blenheim II.

Counterclaim bred six test mares in 2006 and proved to be EXTREMELY fertile and an excellent fresh semen shipper!! Several of his first foals can be seen on our News page. He's been genetically tested to be HOMOZYGOUS for the PINTO gene....which means he will ALWAYS throw a pinto foal when bred to solid mares! We will offer a tobiano live foal gaurentee!

Counterclaim has an exceptionally quiet and willing temperament. He is handled in breeding by Patti, an amateur lady handler, and is the perfect gentleman! He was started under saddle this past winter by Sonny Little, a horseman in Northern Florida of the highest calibur and reputation. After the 2007 breeding season, he was returned to training with plans to show. Unfortunately, he pulled a muscle in training and then just as it was healing, Patti hurt her wrist (in a non riding accident - wouldn't you know!) She had surgery in April and again in August where four bones from her right wrist were removed. She is still not riding in her full capacity. So Counterclaim will happily stay busy with his breeding duties until Patti is able to compete again!

Contact us for more information on this outstanding youngster!! He will be offered in 2009 for a $600 stud fee plus a $250 booking fee. The first collection is included in this price.

FINALLLY...........COLAIRE!

We've been anxiously waiting to offer our Black Pinto Colt by the legendary Voltaire for a few selected breedings! He's the only pinto son of Voltaire that we know of in the United States!! (Voltaire is the leading sire of several Olympics, Popeye K's sire, and the sire of over 90 approved stallions in Europe!!)

Colaire will be available through frozen semen only. He will be resuming his training with Carrie Stinner in Aiken, SC this winter and will make a hunter show horse extrodinaire (although I have no doubt he can jump the moon!) His quiet, willing work under saddle and lovely trot and canter will make him a hack winner for sure! We expect him to mature to at least 17 hands.

His dam is Colormarks, is pictured on our website with some of her other premium foals (most recently, Eclipse by Claim to Fame. She stands 16.2 and is by Hallmark.
